With this funding, we want to continue our internationalisation and expand our offer in neurology to other diseases besides epilepsy and headache.

Apps for patients with neurological disorders

Neuroventis develops a Belgian digital platform that allows patients with neurological disorders to register and follow up their health data themselves. They can also share these data with their doctors, who get an overview in an online dashboard. This will enable better monitoring, more accurate diagnoses and better treatments.

Neuroventis’ first ‘mHealth’ (mobile health) app was Helpilepsy, designed to support people with epilepsy. For example, they can use the app to keep track of when they have a seizure in order to discover the triggers. When MigraineManager, an app for headache sufferers, was almost ready for launch, Neuroventis started looking for new investors to finance the company’s further growth.

Partners in ambition at Neuroventis

PMV understood the potential of the health platform and proposed to finance its growth through a convertible loan. CAREvolution invested as the second new shareholder and, like PMV, joined the Board of Directors.

Through the investments of PMV and CAREvolution, together with investments by existing shareholders BlueHealth Innovation Fund and imec.istart, Neuroventis raised a total of one million euros in this financing round.

Meanwhile, the platform is already being used in 11 countries and Neuroventis is also working on apps for tracking data of Parkinson’s, stroke, MS and Alzheimer’s patients.
