Flanders Future Tech Fund

With the investments, the Flanders Future Tech Fund aims to focus on the valorisation of technology developed by Flemish companies, with a particular focus on the spearhead domains of Care and Welfare, Digital Transformation and Climate & Sustainability. The Flanders Future Tech Fund has a fund size of 75 million euros and can enter into financings of 0.5 to 5 million euros. Each Flanders Future Techfund investment requires the contribution of a private co-investor of at least 50 per cent.

Investment criteria

  • No existing turnover is required, EBITDA is then usually negative
    It must be promising technology coming from a university, research centre or private that is contributed in kind to the company and still requires substantial capital to further develop the technology into a market-ready product
    The FFTF only invests in the first phase, follow-on investments are made through PMV
    Focus is on Care & Wellness, Digital Transformation and Klmimaat & Sustainability
