Brussels Philharmonic Foundation

Thanks to the Brussels Philharmonic Foundation, investors can safely invest and our string players can play on top instruments.

String instruments as an investment
Founded in 1935 by the Belgian public broadcaster, the classical orchestra Brussels Philharmonic counts 80 musicians. Top musicians need instruments of the best quality, but buying them costs a lot of money. At the same time, string instruments – especially the cello, violin or viola – are an interesting investment because they continue to increase in value, especially if played by top musicians.
That is how the idea was born to bring investors and musicians together. The Brussels Philharmonic Foundation was founded in 2013 as a new musical investment vehicle working with certificates for (string) instruments. The investor finances the purchase of one or more string instruments and the foundation makes the instrument available to a musician from the orchestra of Brussels Philharmonic.
Partners in ambition at Stichting Brussels Philharmonic
PMV was one of the first investors to purchase (certificates of) string instruments through the CultuurInvest fund. This investment is atypical for the way CultuurInvest operates because PMV is not investing directly in a legal entity but rather in an investment product.
