Techwolf

TechWolf was founded in 2018 by Andreas De Neve, Jeroen Van Hautte and Mikaël Wornoo while studying engineering at the University of Ghent. Their software uses Artificial Intelligence to give companies an instant, up-to-date and objective view of the skills within their workforce. The platform gathers available data on the knowledge and skills of each employee from all possible data sources.

This ranges from training courses taken, evaluations and feedback to presentations and reports or projects. In this way, companies get a clear insight into the talent already present and the skills they still need to develop or hire. The platform is ideally suited for really big companies with a lot of employees, especially now that the ‘war for talent’ can get in the way of their growth ambitions. Global players such as energy company BP and US GE Healthcare are mapping the skills of their employees with TechWolf. In Belgium, TechWolf’s technology is used by Telenet, Cegeka, KBC, SD Worx and Agoria, among others.

Two years after PMV invested in Techwolf, the AI-driven Skills Intelligence platform is raising €10 million in an investment round led by Stride.VC, with participation from Fortino Capital, Acadian Ventures, PMV and existing investors.  The funding will go towards further international expansion and research and product development. By the end of 2024, TechWolf aims to be the global leader in Skill Intelligence software, providing 100 million employees with skill insights.
