Automotive technology in a speed pedelec
IntuEdrive is the company behind Ellio, an innovative speed pedelec brand. Founders Tomas Keppens and Jorrit Heidbuchel are two engineers who use automotive technology for their electric bikes. The two-wheel drive is intended to make the speed pedelecs – that can reach a speed of up to 45 kilometres per hour – more reliable, safer and more user-friendly. As an alternative to the car, they are also efficient and ecological.
IntuEdrive started in 2017 and was ready for the commercialisation of the Ellio bicycles in early 2020. The company had the first model tested and homologated, and managed to convince a network of specialised dealers.

Partners in ambition at Intuedrive
In the summer of 2019, IntuEdrive raised its first funding from Buselo BV and Freddy Cuyvers. PMV also provided an initial financial injection at that time via a convertible subordinated loan. At the end of January 2020, IntuEdrive raised another 1.5 million euros for the commercialisation of Ellio.
Besides the original investors, PMV and IP Holding stepped in as new shareholders.
